Help, everytime I download a more restricted library book to my ADE on Mac it crashes. I have the log.

If I download a free for the whole world to use book , such as James Joyce Ulysses, I am offered from the start an .epub version which is fine. I can open those. Thus, the problem seems to be centered on accessing the book through the .acsm system.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE 2x now.

Any I have reauthorized per my librarian and it did not help.

Why are the .ascm files not working? How can get this to work?

For any employees who are monitoring this forum, I can get you the error log.

spent the last few hours trying to get ADE v4 to work every time i download and .acsm file ADE activation error ... i tried to erase authorisation and but keeps getting a error message "unable to erase authorisation. please try after some time"

activation issues yet i cant deactivate??

I bought the ebook through waterstones, via ADE and transferred it to my ebook but can't open the file.

I noticed ADE is authorised to my old email and I bought the ebook via my new email, is this an issue?

How do I get ADE authorised to my new email? I changed the email at adobe.com account.

Now I can't even see the device in ADE when I connect it to my windows laptop!

How do I uninstall ADE completely from Windows 7?

I have uninstalled it via Control Pane, or at least i thought I had. But when I reinstall it, it remembered all my previous details!!! (One of which is now incorrect!)

That sure is some uninstall program!

How clever of Adobe to have an uninstall program that doesn’t actually uninstall!!!

I am trying to transfer an ebook from ADE to my Kobo. When I drag and drop the book, ADE suddenly quits and a window comes up with specifications to auto send to Apple. I am running a MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.5 and ADE 4.0. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and still get the same error.

ADE won't change page either by scrolling or selcting in contents panel. Can anyone help? Running Windows 7

that sounds all good and all but I only have the one account and i still can't open my books. and it JUST started happening. i was able to open all of the acsm files on my computer two weeks ago. then last Wednesday i started getting that error message. what's going on and how can i fix it?

I followed the steps above but it did not work.

In addition to not being able to erase my authorization on my computer, I'm also getting an error slightly different from others I'm seeing on posts when I try to open a downloaded EPUB file: "E_ACT_NOT_READY".

I can't get past the opening page in Windows Adobe Digital Editions. What am I doing wrong or not doing?

I am having the same problem, and my computer is authorized through my Adobe ID and I cannot open any books. I tried downloading a book from the university library, using my ID, the book is in ACSM format, and I cannot open the book because it keeps telling me
