Digital editions has authorized my Mac. Following the help suggestion for transferring ebooks, I connected my Sony PRS-650 and then launched Digital Editions. I do not get a Devices item on the left side to allow it to be authorized or to transfer books. What do I try next?

new nook
I recently bought a new nook to replace my old one. I can't get my new nook to appear in digital editions to download my ebooks. What did I forget to do?

delete duplicate books in library
i started with a Kindle and discovered not the best choice for borrowing library books. have a Nook now but also 5 entries for the book I was trying to download on my bookshelf. can't see how to delete them? I tried uninstalling ADE but they're all there when I reinstalled. Anyone have this weird problem. Not causing trouble. Just a neat freak.

Hi,
I have tried to change my time and it is still not working, I have spent so much it is completely ridiculous. I would really appreciate assistance. Here is the error message( E _ ADEPT -REQUEST -EXPIRED http:// adeactive.adobecom 2015-02-15T09:00:26-08-0%20(114240194600)%20%is%20 before%202015-02-16t15:48:33-8:00%222220 1424130513513. I have also read a previous response and change the time and it is not working.

Admin rights?
Adobe digital editions-
When I click run I get a run as screen saying I may need admin rights. It says I can use an account called "administrator" (no such account is setup), or use the current account (which has admin priviliges).
If I try administrator with no password it fails. If I try current account it says admin priviliges are necessary (The account is an administrator account).
I tried putting a password on the current account but when I choose current account the account name and password fields go dark.
I'm at a loss as to what to do. Its a W7 Home edition SP1 machine. I also tried Firefox and Chrome.

error message no permission to copy this book Help
I have the Kobo Aura and I installed ADE. I see the book in ADE but when I try to drag the book to my Kobo I get the error message that I do not have permission to copy this book.

I have been given a Laser EB720 . Digital editions 4 downloaded can read the welcome instructions but library books crash the reader. Books downloaded free from digital editions web site and purchase from Kobo work .What am I doing wrong

Re: When I check a book out of the the local library, everything goes well until I get to my Adobe Digital Editions library page where a note pops up saying "error check activation". I have downloaded a hundreds of books but this has just started. Help
For this problem, you need to deauthorize and authorize ADE again.

Please check the following:
1. Open the file in Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Go to File -> Item Info
Check under permissions, Copying permission
Copying the book to a device is allowed if copy permission is set.

I am getting the message: Error getting licence Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_IO
What is the reason for this message and how can I access my valid e-sample? I get this message when I click download, and it opens up in adobe digital editions.
