I have a new nook. Have downloaded and installed and authorized ADE. When I double click a .acsm link the book loads to ADE. When I drag the book to my nook, I get the little green plus sign and the dialog comes up saying it is preparing the file, then ADE crashes and the book is not transferred. I am on an iMac, Yosemite 10.10.2 if that matters

For this problem, you need to deauthorize and authorize ADE again.
If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
Mac: Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.
Windows:
Choose Start > Run.
In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
Your authorization will be deleted.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.

This error is thrown while trying to open a book that is authorized for a user different than the user currently logged in. To correct this error, log in with the Adobe ID the content was fulfilled with.

E_AUTH_USER_ALREADY_REGISTERED
I've got a new Sony eReader (PRS-T1) that I'm trying to authorize using my Adobe ID on Sony Reader for PC, however I get the error "E_AUTH_USER_ALREADY_REGISTERED." when I try to do so. I auhorized the computer without any problems just a few minutes before. In another post the suggestion was to go to Edit/Preferences/Deautorize but that doesn't help as I cannot see the eReader there to deauthorize it and authorize it again. How can I solve this? I've been in contact with Sony support, who asked me to contact Adobe support, who asked me to post a question here.

1. You authorized sony reader for PC with an adobe id or you authorized without an id ?
2. error "E_AUTH_USER_ALREADY_REGISTERED." you are getting on PC or sony reader device.
You can also create a new adobe id and try to authorize your device.

ADE crashes during downloading epub from acsm file
Hi to everyone.
It's been a while that when I'm trying to download an ePub book via ADE from a acsm file, the software crashes and I can't get to read the books. I'm running on a Mac Yosemite. I tried different ebooks so it is not a problem of a single file. Does anyone had the same problem and solved it?

Hello,
I am getting "Error! Check Activation" error message when I try to download epub from acsm file. I found that I should erase and re-authorize. When I try to erase authorization I get, "Please try after some time."
I need a solution.

I add my voice to this outstanding deficiency as I now own new Mac Pro which can only have one internal drive so have a number of externals dedicated to various media etc. so I find it very frustrating not being able to select file storage drive within ADE software.

The book I bought disappeared
I bought a book from ellibs almost a year ago. I haven´t needed it until now. When I tried to open it I found only a picture of it on my computer. In ellibs account they say the book IS DOWNLOADED. What might have happened?

Can't install ADE 3.0 on my Mac
I have a rather old Mac, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, Mac OSX 10.6.8. I have downloaded the ADE 3.0 installation file and completed the installation - I believed. But although I got the message that the application was successfully installed, the application didn't start, and only an empty link leading nowhere appeared in my applications folder. I have an Adobe ID and have no problems logging in. Anybody familiar with this problem? The Adobe support site isn't of much help

Ebook error message: "Fail to write destination file error"
I am attempting to transfer ebooks (checked out via my library's ebook consortium) from Adobe Digital Editions to my Nook. I have done this in the past with no issues, but recently I have been getting the following error message: "Fail to write destination file error".
I know the issue is NOT lack of space on my Nook (I cleared it of all info and still received the error message).
