I cant download books from adobe Digital edition to my nooks, Color nook and grow lite

When trying to authorise my computer the message " Digital Editions could not connect to activation server" appears and no matter how many times I retry nothing works. Does anyone know what I can do?

Last time I chatted I was told to unauthorize my device and computer and then try to download the book again. It failed. What do I do?

I have had exactly the same problem, but have managed a fix and it works just fine now.

These are the steps I took:

1. Uninstall ADE and do a restart

2. Download a new copy of ADE and reinstall

3. Go to where your books were downloaded from the Public Library in your Downloads file and delete them - when I double clicked the book, they had expired. Obviously a glitch during download

4 Go to your Public Library and re-download the books and Save As in the Adobe Digital Editions folder in your Downloads file

5. Start ADE, select File: Add to Library

6. Navigate to the Adobe Digital Editions folder in the Downloads folder

7. Select the books you want and Open them

8. They will be added to ADE

9. Connect your eReader, ADE will recognise it, drag and drop your books to your eReader and Voila!! Books on your eReader

Make sure your eReader and Computer are authorised

Good day, I bought two (2) ebooks from www.barnesandnoble.com.

The titles are "Creative thinking for dummies" and "mind mapping for dummies".

I just formatted my pc and downloaded the latest version of ADE.

Now I want to view the .ebup ebooks, it says I should use the Adobe ID that was originally used to authorize the books.

I can neither remember the email address nor the password.

Is there a way to extract the ID from the .ebup files?

If I can remember just the email address, then I can reset the password.

I really need to continue reading those books.

Didn't work for me. When I selected Add to Library the books I downloaded are not even viewable to select.

I had this same issue. i was able to deactivate my authorization - reauthorize and then it worked. If you are able to get your login and password you could hopefully try this

everytime ADE upgrades it crashes constantly and have an issue reading borrowed library books on my Kobo device.

Getting very disgusted with these constant problems.

Most recent Upgraded to version 4 several previously borrowed books would not open on Kobo device, deleted them and redownloaded them from library site same thing, they opened in ADE but after transferring to Kobo got authorization erro.

I have purhased e-books from a store for a number of years now. I have recently purchased a Kobo Glo and still have a Sony e-reader. I am now unable to download any purchased books. I have installed Adobe Digital Editions 4. On my Reader for PC, the book looks like it is going to download but a message appears that the it failed to download contents.

I keep getting the same error message ; E_Adept_Internal. My books are all paid for, no borrowd books the laptop is authorized and even after deinstalling and installing an older version of digital edition I keep getting the same error message.

On a few books i have been trying to transfer from my computer to my e-reader the message above has come up. What does it mean and how can i sort it?

I recieved error! check activation error in Adobe Digital Editions 4.0 after trying to upload a book from the public library the book is an epub book. I have tried to reinstall the software but it still wont work ,have also tried Adobe Digital editions 3.0 and still wont work. I tried to deauthorize the computer but the system tells me to come back later. What could be the problem?
