Three years later which is 11 years if anyone is counting; and no improvement.

This can only lead one to deduce the disfunctionality of this software is intentional. Really hard to get behind a company that will pull something like that. I can honestly say that my contributions to Adobe throughout college in the form of SaaS namely Creative Cloud, are in the thousands of dollars. Now working on my Master's degree I run into the same old song doing research. So, I will get what I need from this "loaned" pdf, write my paper and purge my system of this software forever. All they had to do was incorporate the functionality of adobe reader into editions or even make the DRM a sub function of reader or DC. This again, makes one wonder what the end goal of this company is.

Not able to licence an EPUB file

Hi,

 

I am trying to download an EPUB file of a book bought from Google Play. Keep receiving the same message from Adobe DE: Licence server communication problem. Error: E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED. It appears to be a particular book issue, since other books download OK.

Getting ebook onto Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0

hi everyone,

 

I have a Google ebook which I have paid for and downloaded on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. When I open the acsm file, it takes me to ADE. But nothing happens? Literally, nothing happens. The book does not show up, the screen doesn't change - it just has my empty library (except for the instructions) staring at me. The device is authorised, and I can do the exact same thing and get it on my phone and laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, deactivated and reactivated, opened and closed the app, and nothing changes! I also tried downloading both the epub and pdf file.

 

Can anyone help? Is it maybe possible to get my tablet listed as a device on my computer version of ADE, where I can drag and drop the book?

 

Unfortunately I can't read it through Google Play Books either, as the app keeps crashing.

 

 

any help would be appreciated

What should I do if there is no Digital Editions folder in the Application Support folder and thus no Activation.dat file to delete?

 

I'm working on a mac with 10.14.5 OS and Digital Editions 4.5. I've searched my whole computer and I don't have the .dat file to delete, but it still won't let me deauthorize. This is beyond frustrating.

 

Please, please help!

eBooks missing

Hi,

 

I have a new laptop. I installed and authorized Adobe Digital Editions today. 2 of my paid ebooks are missing from my library. Why is this happening? I have de-authorized and re-authorized my computer multiple times.

 

Please help.

I had the same problem with my Nook.  It only works with ADE 3.0.  Unfortunately, my computer automatically updates it to 4.5 every few days!!  What the heck.  So my routine now is to uninstall 4.5 and install 3.0 each time.  Annoying, but at least I know that works.

I used to be able to download digital files from Netgalley.com but now I get  this error message. I tried to de-authorize my account but it spins and spins and nothing happens. If I remove and re-install the app, I will lose all my titles which are no longer available. I don’t understand why anyone uses your digital format instead of the kindle which always works. I am at the point of never selecting a book in the protected file format that takes me to ADE.

Hallo. Ich habe eine Windows Neuinstallation gehabt.

 

Ich habe daraufhin erneut auch die Digital Editions installiert.

 

Ich habe es auch autorisieren können.

 

Zunächst wurden (fast) alle Bücher richtig angezeigt. Da jedoch ein Paar von Ihnen offenbar Autorisierung Fehlermeldungen hatten habe ich das Programm neu gestartet.

 

Daraufhin war gar kein einziges Buch mehr auf der Oberfläche zu sehen weder autorisiert oder nicht. Ein Testbuch, das von Adobe angeboten wird konnte ich jedoch sehen/lesen.

 

Wenn ich die erworbenen Bücher zur Bibliothek erneut laden möchte, kriege ich die hartnäckige Fehlermeldung: "Das Dokument, das sie hinzufügen möchten, ist bereits in der Bibliothek vorhanden.".

 

De-Installation Neu-Installation führt zu nichts.

 

Autorisierung aufheben , wieder autorisieren - führt zu nichts.

Trouble authorizing

I set up an account with Adobe Digital Editions and it won't let me authorize the computer.  It says my user ID or password is wrong.  I have determined the correct user ID.  How can I change my password?

Digital Edition schließen.

In den Ordner eigene Dokumente > meine Documente.

Dort den Ordner My Digital Edition in My Digital Edition umbennen.

Neu starten und du kannst die Bücher neu ins Programm laden.

This drove me mad. I’m a third of the way through my MBA strategy textbook on a 21-day loan. It expired, so I borrowed the book for a further 21-day period- all highlights and annotations gone. Worst of all - I’m on iPad, so no tweaking in the back end to retrieve the work.

 

This has really put me in a bad mood.

 

Yes, I know, before you say it - I was not particularly strategic in how I handled this.
