Cannot access full book on Adobe Digital Editions

Hi there.

I am having issues accessing in full a book I purchased 2 years ago. It is an Adobe Digital Editions book (a dictionary) and all I can see is the front page but I cannot access the rest of the book or search it.

How can I access the rest of the book?

I also cannot remember my login details (nor do I remember ever setting any up). Do I need them for this?

I only have the a .acsm file saved on my PC.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hallo,

 

oben genannte Fehlermeldung erscheint seit einiger Zeit wenn ich geliehene Bücher auf meinem tolino öffnen will. Hab in der Suchfunktion hier nichts dazu gefunden. Hat jemand eine Idee?

I am surprised that there so many users with unanswered  problems.

 

Is there a way to get Adobe to provide some support to users?

Digital Edition imports DRM ebooks and shows only a white book with white pages since 20.11.17 after a windows 10 update.

I use ADE on a PC, Windows 10, on a Tab, Android 6.0, and on a Galaxy S5, Android 5.0. Since 20.11.17 after a Windows 10 update on sunday I see only a white book with white pages after importing a DRM ebook. The import of none DRM books is ok on all devices. The Tolino App works also probably on all devices. I have only a problem with ADE. The ADE Service said the number of logged in devices is ok. What can I do. Thank you for helping

E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER - vendor DID reset the token

Hello!

 

I bought an ebook from kobo.com and authorized it by computer because kobo was not on the vendor list. I then tried transferring it to my ebook reader, which Abobe Digital Editions did successfully, but I couldn't open it on the reader because it was unauthorized.

 

At this point I contacted kobo.com support and authorized my computer and my reader using my Adobe ID, but when I tried getting the book onto the reader, I kept getting the E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER error. I also removed the .epub file from my reader. Next, I removed the ebook from ADE library on my PC to try and add it again, but this time I couldn't even add it to ADE library on my PC: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER, again.

 

kobo.com support representative reset the DRM and I re-downloaded the .acsm file, but I still got E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER when I tried to add it to ADE library on my PC. At this point the support representative told me "If you are getting the same message then you will need to contact ADE support, I already reset the DRM so the book now is ready to be authorize with the new id".

 

Now, 7 hours later, I re-downloaded the .acsm file again in case it didn't reset instantly this morning, but I keep getting the same error.

 

I have seen the support page Solution for E_LIC error in Adobe Digital Editions but, obviously, it didn't help because the book's DRM had already been reset this morning.

 

So, what should I do so that I can read my book?

Can't Open A Book

I can't get a book to open in Adobe Digitial Editions. It is THE LIFE OF REASON by Georges Santayana, which I purchased from Kobo. Instead, I get an error message, which reads:

 

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_USER_AUTH.

 

And this is the SECOND time I've asked about this. How about an answer, this time.

Newest Update makes textbooks unreadable

Previous to this week's newest update to adobe digital editions, my textbook (ironically, a photoshop textbook) worked fine.  After the update, all pictures diagrams and background colors appear as grayscale pixelated static mixed with black bars or occasionally tiled grayscale fragments of the original image.  I have already uninstalled/reinstalled Digital Editions as well as the textbook, but neither of those options seems to work.  Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?

Adobe is the COMPANY name, what is the PROGRAM that you can't install?

 

Also, if you have a Mac, you will be asked for your MAC password to prove that you have permission to install a program

Adobe Digital Editions, so I can download books from the library.

So... have you entered your MAC password during install to prove to your Mac that you have permission?

I stumbled upon the solution.

I deleted Adobe Digital Solutions from my system and then in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ I deleted the folder “Digital Editions”. After that I re-installed version 4.5.7. When I tried to load an  .acsm file I was prompted to get a new Adobe Id to authorise my computer.  After that, everything was fine.

Ich wollte nach längerem mal wieder ein ebook über die Onleihe lesen. Beim Versuch, die heruntergeladene Datei zu öffnen, erhalte ich die o.g. Fehlermeldung. Gleiches gilt für ebooks, die hier auf Adobe angeboten werden. Seit über 1 Stunde suche ich nach einer Lösung. Die Löschung der Autorisierung - wie in einem Forum vorgeschlagen - ist auch nicht möglich. Ich nutze ein MacBook und bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar, wie ich das Problem beheben kann.

I recently upgrade to version 4.5.7 of ADE after an upgrade of W10 to the fall update of W10. Now it's been 2 weeks and I suddenly discovered that ADE freezes when I try to download an eBook.

 

The only thing to do is to restart ADE then it works one time and the next eBook same problem and new restart.

 

When will this be solved or is there a solution?

Please use your Adobe ID to authorize your ereader with the kobo desktop application or adobe digital editions.

I am getting this message and the only way to fix it is to reset my ereader, there has to be a better way, HELP!
