Refreshing what?
Stopped working in what way? Doesn't open at all, won't read your books, or ...?
Something that often helps is to deactivate your copy of ADE using ctrl-shift-D while running ADE.
Then restart ADE, and reactivate with your AdobeID.
That won't help if the problem is that it isn't working at all.
In that case, try unisntalling and reinstalling.
